For over 30 years the Barbados National Trust has been providing entrée into some of the most exclusive private residences around Barbados with their annual Open House Progamme.  In 2011, the season will be held every Wednesday from January through to April and includes about 13 private houses all chosen for their distinctive features, from architectural wonders to historical landmarks and some that are simply too elegant to miss.

A garden party atmosphere prevails at these events, with fresh fruit juices, homemade rum punch and snacks served on the lawns. Books on Barbados and the Caribbean are available for purchase as well as some choice artifacts from select local craftsmen.  All funds raised at these events are in aid of the Barbados’ National Trust preservation efforts.
